ROCK fans have today been given the opportunity of a lifetime to see the legendary star Robert Plant play a unique and intimate gig in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Sound & Vision, sponsored by Shepperton, takes place at Abbey Road Studios on 25 February 2010. The event, which is now in its fifth year, has raised over £700,000 for Cancer Research UK’s lifesaving work since it started in 2006. Robert’s set will include support from American singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman and the London Oriana Choir, in what promises to be a completely unique, one-off performance.

Outstanding Contribution to Music Award - Q Awards

_46611518_p1030989Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has admitted he has spoken to festival organiser Michael Eavis about performing at Glastonbury next year.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music at the Q Awards, he said: “I’ve just been talking to Michael. There’s place for me there, but I have no idea who with.”

Plant picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
